BCBA Supervision

Information on the page can also be found at www.bacb.com

Shieh ABA is dedicated to providing candidates with dedicated and quality supervision. Supervisees will discuss and apply terms from BCBA/BCaBA Task List (4th or 5th edition) to their fieldwork experience. Supervisees must secure a site for fieldwork experience where they provide direct or consultative services to a client. A client is defined by the BACB as any person (or groups of people) for whom behavior-analytic services are appropriate.

Here is checklist of things to do in order to get supervision started:

  • Supervisee has to have attended their first class meeting for qualifying coursework

  • Shieh ABA will determine if there is the capacity to begin supervision with a new supervisee

  • Shieh ABA and supervisee will agree to supervision rate

  • Shieh ABA and supervisee will review BCBA/BCaBA Experience Standards document

  • Shieh ABA and supervisee will review Supervision Contract

  • If supervisee is comfortable with terms and condition of contract, Shieh ABA and supervisee will sign contract. Supervisee may begin to track and accrue experience hours upon signing of Supervision Contract.

  • Supervisee must submit Pre-Experience Checklist to Shieh ABA

  • Shieh ABA will create a secure supervision folder on Google Drive where hours will be tracked and documents will be stored
